Nuestra Señora de la Victoria Pilgrimage -Every year a large number of pilgrims in Malaga, on horseback or in richly-decorated carts and carriages, prepare for the pilgrimage of their patron saint, Nuestra Señora de la Victoria.
Everyone gathers on the central pathway of the park opposite the town hall. At 12pm the mayor hands over the flag of the city to the standard bearer chosen to lead the colourful pilgrimage to the saint's Sanctuary. On arrival at the sanctuary a Mass is said, accompanied by a floral offering, malagueñas and verdiales (typical Malaga folk music).
